And thanks, AP, it’s been great getting to know all of y’all as well. 🙂
You’re right, you would still be lovely even if you didn’t have us…

So there were once some jailbirds who illegally gained access to movies online for no reason whatsoever…
But hey, that’s just a theory. A pointless cons’ piracy theory.
I’m not sure where this thread should go from here… wait a second: What if we could organize an Auxcon in Botswana that’s also a missions trip? That way we could stay longer and have a little bit more structure to the extended stay. Angie could head the expedition and make sure we approach it with the proper mentality.
(I know that Botswana is a majority Christian nation already, but that might just mean the focus would be a little different than otherwise.)
I do so much reading, but read so few books. Such a sentence was not something I would have thought realistic before the advent of high-speed internet.
I found it: The legen-dairy Milk thread.
Interestingly, I had never heard of “Webkinz” until encountering this thread. Fun to read others’ stories about playing with them, though. 🙂
So much for Chris Howard cutting his hair…
Contrary to what Manalive Smith said, I think singing can bring old threads back.

Greetings to every F.A.C.E.!
I felt so much nostalgia reading through this thread and remembering the circumstances that brought me here to the Not-Forum, even though it hasn’t even been seven months since I joined. 😀
In honor of remembering the circumstances, I have prepared a speech. *steps up to podium to make speech*
Fellow F.A.C.E.s, it is with great fondness that I address you here today. So much has happened since I joined the Not-Forum; so many pleasant memories. Thank you for welcoming me into your midst. Some of my favorite moments have been serving as the H.O.W.D.A.R.E.Y.O.U. of T.O.P.H.A.T., contributing toward the #AuxCableFan podcast episode, and writing creative fun poems & parodies. It has brought me much happiness to interact with so many talented, expressive, and unique creatures such as yourselves. I hope that I am able to continue to be an active F.A.C.E. for many moments to come. May God bless the Not-Forum!
*steps down from podium*
I’m not sure when or where or even if our next Comment Kerfuffle will take place, but getting the chance to participate in the Inner Tube Episodes 179 & 180 Comment Kerfuffles is something that I’ll remember for as long as there is a Not-Forum.
Sincerely,
Jeff Ross

Hehe, you forgot a “t”.
What if this thread isn’t actually dead?
Wait…Kristen and Josiah thought FDR got us out of the Depression? That is a actually a common misconception. He was President during that time, and he was excellent at handling the start of WWII, and he was a great morale boost to the country, but I wouldn’t use his economic policies as the measure of his greatness. After all, there were many previous economic crashes and recoveries that other Presidents got through by just letting the free market and the American people do their thing. Those recoveries had the added benefit of not bogging down future generations with excess government debt and dependencies. WWII’s restrictiveness on the economy helped us to escape the Great Depression, not FDR’s big government approach prior to it.
You can make a case for liking FDR the best as a President, but the reason Kristen gave was shoddy. I would also like to assert that this is a why I think FDR is more overrated than JFK.
Of course, Kristen is the best President of T.O.P.H.A.T. ever. #BringBackKristen
Oh, yeah, the code…
Hopefully Anchor keeps improving.
It looks like we neglected to find out on this thread how Dawn’s Thanksgiving surgery went. #BringBackDawn
Fanatical Aux Cable Enthusiasts (F.A.C.E.s)
Aux Cable Enthusiasts (A.C.E.s)
Those are the categories currently within the fanbase, although “Auxiclan” sounds like it could be used as a comprehensive term for both A.C.E.s & F.A.C.E.s. I like the current designations, though, because they highlight the individuality of each fan more than a collective identity.
This is one of the heaviest threads on the Not-Forum.
My opinions: Part of the reason the USA needs a good degree of states’ rights that other nations see as “unnecessary” is because of how large and diverse the US is in terms of population, geography, and resources. It’s difficult from a practical standpoint to have an individualistic culture of freedom and put most of the legislative burden on the government at the national level.
Abortion is immoral and as a society that prides itself on protecting even the minority or the disadvantaged, we ought to protect the unborn and not charge them with any crimes that their fathers may have committed. That being said, I would be careful about crafting a law banning abortion to make sure that it didn’t accidentally fault a mother who had a miscarriage.
I do believe that capital punishment under certain circumstances is a good idea for a government to possess (that being if a person clearly attempted and succeeded to end the life of another in a non-justified situation, such as in an act of terrorism). Capital punishment prevents a criminal from being supported by tax dollars for a life in prison, prevents a criminal from escaping and killing more people, and gives the murderer justice for his crimes. Yes, 99.8% of the time I would prefer alternative punishments and restitutions, but there are occasions of terrorism that I have seen where the terrorist has forfeited his right to life.
I do think that our legal system and justice system needs reform. Kristen talked about “longer jail times” but I am more interested in alternative punishments for crimes than simply “time” that the criminals are being supported by my tax dollars. Some criminals are lost causes, but many can be rehabilitated if the right opportunities are presented to them.
I disagree with the context of Kristen’s statement, “But I’m sorry, yes it’s good to be a Christian even if it’s only for the last 10 min of your life, but scaring people into a religion they don’t believe is wrong.” There’s a big difference between witnessing to people on death row and threatening people with death in order to convert. The former is a Godly thing to do, even though the latter is immoral.
I’ll just leave this here.
This is a fun thread to post riddles. #WhatWouldCaptainObviousWouldHaveSaid
