It’s very informal, Troy. Mostly what we’ve done so far is look at Questions that Kristen composed (listed on the “Kristen’s Questions” thread), recorded a response, and e-mailed the audio to Franklin at AuxCableFans@gmail.com. However, any sort of aux-cable related style content would be appreciated. You could even do a reading of your favorite part of the “Once Upon A Time” story to preview a potential audio production of it (or come up with your own trailer for the story), or come up with your own question to answer that subtly relates to your content creation. Personally, I’d love to hear you answer the question, “what is a kumquat?”, but any addition, no matter how small would be considered by Fanklin and appreciated.

Even if it’s comparable to the quality of Inner Tube Episode 094, it should be okay since this podcast episode that we’re making is segmented. Having clips of “sort of okay” audio mixed in with “slightly better” audio will make this podcast easier to listen to than if it were one long segment like Inner Tube Episode 094.

#SameAP I have such a strong and powerful imagination that I can’t stand horror films. This also means I have a really low threshold when it comes to “too scary for me to want to watch” for non-horror films. When I watched the Princess Bride for the first time in 8th grade with all my classmates in school (it was on the last day before Christmas break), there were parts of that which would have scared me too much if it weren’t for all of my friends laughing at the screen and saying “that’s so fake”. My tolerance level for scary moments in films has increased, but it is still much lower than most people my age. As for Franklin’s suggestion, I might be able to get through it knowing the plot (which I just looked up) and viewing it with someone like Franklin whom I trust, who has seen the film before, and who is completely comfortable with the film. Otherwise I’d rather watch something much more lighthearted.

Rebekah, I recommend sending the different parts as separate files. Not only does it make it easier for Franklin to edit them in, but smaller files are easier to e-mail than larger files. (Also don’t forget to put your name at the beginning of the file name when you send it to Franklin.)

As for my availability, I’m pretty flexible. If one large group session doesn’t work, we could always do a couple of “mini” sessions where a few different FACES answer a question or play a short game together.

I also just found out that Skype can hold 25 people at once in a conversation, so if we did decide we wanted to have a massive Skype session for part of the episode, we wouldn’t have to leave anybody out from an infrastructure standpoint. Logistically, having lots of people talking in one conversation at one time could be difficult to produce as listenable podcast audio, but if it were structured sufficiently well (like the “Word Association-LIVE!” idea but with everyone taking turns), it could be a viable possibility.

Since Masøn wasn’t having success with slam poetry, I went ahead and recorded a poetry reading segment and sent it to Franklin. It’s not quite slam poetry, but I think it fits well with what this episode is becoming.

There’s a pun battle on page three of the “Puns” thread between Brooke & Josiah, judged by Kristen, that would be interesting to record. Otherwise maybe we should do a new pun battle on the Not-Forum and record that.

That is a fun thread, but I’m not sure if all of the original actors are up for the challenge of making such a legendary thread into an audio production. Are there any other threads that we should consider?

Here’s a random thought: should we pick out a classic Not-Forum thread and do a dramatic reading of it? Maybe that’s not a great idea, but I suppose it is a way we could play the “Word Association” game (or a different game) without doing a skype call.

I know we’re taking turns with answering Kristen’s Questions, but maybe we should also start coming with some script ideas for the commercial or a game or such, a segment that will have us all “interacting” even if we record our parts separately. (I think that would be a fun surprise to hear how we sound interacting with each other in the final product.)

Go for it, AP! Give it a try and send it to Franklin, even if the answer feels like it’s really short or you aren’t sure about the audio quality. Better to send something for consideration than wish you would have.
