*whoa*
This is a parody of Jamie Grace’s song “Just a Friend”. The topic of the song is based upon Rebekah’s experience stepping on a laundry detergent cap and falling down hard floor stairs. [Not-Forum topic #thatmomentwhen (#4), page 12] The lyric format is based off of the official lyric video to the original song.
[Part I: Rebekah talking to the laundry detergent cap]
Didn’t see you in my way
With your rounded ends
And everything around me moved in slow motion
The feeling was crazy
A jolt to my knee
It’s sure hard to be cool whenever I do laundry.
And I can be immature
When I’m lying on the floor
Having fallen down the hard stairs
Like I’m still four
But you just felt my foot
And I think that’s kinda wack
Had no one else thought to put that laundry cap back?
Somebody tell me why this hurts so bad;
Why did I step on that laundry cap? I need a nap.
Why can’t you just see what I see
And then move out of my way,
You should stay out of my way
I think you could make me happy
If you’d stayed out of my way
Please do not be in my way
But you weren’t that, that, that
Oh you weren’t that, that, that,
I guess that’s that, that, that
‘Cause you didn’t want to be all that
You prob’ly think I’m too young
To feel this way
To me you’re a pain that just won’t go away
So even if you move on
And get out of my life
I promise I will keep praying ‘cause I’m not doing fine
See I can try to act mature
Like nothing’s really wrong
But you prob’ly know I’m hurting
As you listen to this song
And I don’t mind saying how I feel
As long as I stay true and keep it real
Somebody tell me why pain lasts so long;
I think I’ll just lie here and wait for Mom.
Why can’t you just see what I see
And then move out of my way,
You should stay out of my way
I think you could make me happy
If you’d stayed out of my way
Please do not be in my way
But you weren’t that, that, that
Oh you weren’t that, that, that,
I guess that’s that (I don’t know, Rebekah)
‘Cause you didn’t want to be (Here’s what I’m gonna tell ya)
[Part II: Wise friend to Rebekah]
You ain’t gotta rush laundry, slow down (Okay)
When you trip down the stairs you gonna say “ow” (Ow!)
You gon’ hurt your foot
Make you so red and shook
If it don’t then no bother stayin’ put (What?)
All throbbing aside, laundry detergent
Is stored in a bottle with a cap, perfect
To keep large amounts and that’s its true purpose
Otherwise just get laundry pods, they’re worth it*
[Part III: Rebekah’s prayer to God]
So Father I will place this in your hands
You know me and all my crazy plans
Humbly I surrender this to you
So I’ll keep calm and You’ll keep coming through
I know You see what I don’t see
Even a stray, hard cap
A tiny hard cap
I know that You will be watching
Even if I miss that cap
A small detergent cap
So yeah, that’s that, that, that
Oh, that’s that, that, that
You’ll see that, that, that
I’m knowing You will see all that
*Note: Laundry pods are not recommended for use around children under the age of six due to choking and poison hazards.
Hahahahaha
Oh my gosh that is amazing especially considering that is like one of my favorite singers. Lol that is just awesome thanks haha
That was kind of amazing… actually, not ‘kind of’… It was definitely amazing…
It was definitely fantastic
Although the inspiration of that song really hurts still ouch. I don’t like to walk on my foot right now
11/10 I love it!! I’m sorry your foot still hurts though, Bekah
Heh.
*smirks mysteriously*
*raises eyebrow suspiciously*
*Stares intently*
*wonders if it’s possible to have a staring contest over the internet when neither can see the other’s face*
*Accepts challenge*
*smirk intensifies*

How does a ragtag volunteer fan base in need of a good name
Somehow kerfuffle a podcast of little fame?
How do they emerge victorious from the quagmire?
Leave the comment section raising the record higher?

Good job though Josiah , hey I posted a second music video today
Eh, mebbe not.
Thanks!
Oh right, I need to go watch that.
Well you don’t need to but this time I was excited to put it on I really like this song. So much so I named my guitar after the artist, Francesca. It’s a fender guitar and in the song it says she has dents in her fender and this poor guitar had dents when I got it
Oh right, I know that song.
It’s a good one
