Interesting fact: The last time this thread was posted on (four months ago), Masøn had just discovered “Drawception”.
I’m curious as to Josiah’s opinion on the MLB playoffs so far.

Oh, no, I’m so sorry, Masøn. I didn’t mean to drop your mic.
*Picks up mic and hands back to Masøn.*
Here you go. That’s a really nice microphone. Is it a Sennheiser?
Trube, but in context, you shouldn’t try to fix a comment someone else wrote that is six months old unless it needs fixing. The way it is formatted doesn’t require any adjustments whatsoever. It would have been slightly more permissible if you had made the correction right away, but attempting that particular correction now reeks of fault-finding and attention-seeking rather than trying to be helpful.
I’m sure you had the best intentions at heart, Josiah, but this type of correction would be taken as an insult by most native English speakers if done in the real world. #NowYouKnow #BetterToLearnHereThanExperientially
Josiah, comment #7536 contains an ellipsis, so you cannot assume that the “i” in that comment referred to the first person singular pronoun, as it could be interpreted as the start of a different word that begins with “i”.
I think Troy should appear on the show, for multiple reasons.
Is it “Desmischous”?
That spelling seems quite German.
I’d say “Deshmicious”.
Greetings, honorable members of The Overly Punny Honor Association of Trolls!
After reviewing the current titles of TOPHAT members and the suggestions for what my title ought to be, I propose “Official Wordsmith Leader” (possibly “Official Wordsmith Lieutenant”) or “OWL” for short. Similarly, “Honorary Official Wordsmith, Director And Regent Extraordinaire, Yet Operationally Unobtrusive” or “HOW,DARE,YOU” would be my alternate suggestion. This latter idea could be shortened to “HOW”.
I’m not sure what the confirmation proceedings are for this position to be affirmed or denied. Perhaps it can be completed reasonably quickly, in order for Bekah’s application to be submitted and reviewed soon.
I look forward to receiving an official TOPHAT rank in the near future!
Sincerely,
Jeff Ross

What was the occasion that caused you to get that e-mail, Masøn?

#thatmomentwhen you feel inspired to write a song based upon Rebekah’s experience:
Check out Page 7 of the “AUX Cable: The Musical” thread to see what I wrote.
This is a parody of Jamie Grace’s song “Just a Friend”. The topic of the song is based upon Rebekah’s experience stepping on a laundry detergent cap and falling down hard floor stairs. [Not-Forum topic #thatmomentwhen (#4), page 12] The lyric format is based off of the official lyric video to the original song.
[Part I: Rebekah talking to the laundry detergent cap]
Didnât see you in my way
With your rounded ends
And everything around me moved in slow motion
The feeling was crazy
A jolt to my knee
Itâs sure hard to be cool whenever I do laundry.
And I can be immature
When Iâm lying on the floor
Having fallen down the hard stairs
Like Iâm still four
But you just felt my foot
And I think thatâs kinda wack
Had no one else thought to put that laundry cap back?
Somebody tell me why this hurts so bad;
Why did I step on that laundry cap? I need a nap.
Why canât you just see what I see
And then move out of my way,
You should stay out of my way
I think you could make me happy
If youâd stayed out of my way
Please do not be in my way
But you werenât that, that, that
Oh you werenât that, that, that,
I guess thatâs that, that, that
âCause you didnât want to be all that
You probâly think Iâm too young
To feel this way
To me youâre a pain that just wonât go away
So even if you move on
And get out of my life
I promise I will keep praying âcause Iâm not doing fine
See I can try to act mature
Like nothingâs really wrong
But you probâly know Iâm hurting
As you listen to this song
And I donât mind saying how I feel
As long as I stay true and keep it real
Somebody tell me why pain lasts so long;
I think Iâll just lie here and wait for Mom.
Why canât you just see what I see
And then move out of my way,
You should stay out of my way
I think you could make me happy
If youâd stayed out of my way
Please do not be in my way
But you werenât that, that, that
Oh you werenât that, that, that,
I guess thatâs that (I donât know, Rebekah)
âCause you didnât want to be (Hereâs what Iâm gonna tell ya)
[Part II: Wise friend to Rebekah]
You ainât gotta rush laundry, slow down (Okay)
When you trip down the stairs you gonna say âowâ (Ow!)
You gonâ hurt your foot
Make you so red and shook
If it donât then no bother stayinâ put (What?)
All throbbing aside, laundry detergent
Is stored in a bottle with a cap, perfect
To keep large amounts and thatâs its true purpose
Otherwise just get laundry pods, theyâre worth it*
[Part III: Rebekahâs prayer to God]
So Father I will place this in your hands
You know me and all my crazy plans
Humbly I surrender this to you
So Iâll keep calm and Youâll keep coming through
I know You see what I donât see
Even a stray, hard cap
A tiny hard cap
I know that You will be watching
Even if I miss that cap
A small detergent cap
So yeah, thatâs that, that, that
Oh, thatâs that, that, that
Youâll see that, that, that
Iâm knowing You will see all that
*Note: Laundry pods are not recommended for use around children under the age of six due to choking and poison hazards.

Reaction
I’ve played the song three times already in the background of my Aux Cable comment reading. I think it sounds very good!
ESPN’s headline of “Tom Brady magic saves Patriots from another fourth-quarter disappointment” translates to “Patriots won in dramatic fashion, but we thought they should have done better.”
Packers just won in dramatic fashion. #GoPackGo
