I HAVE BEEN ALERTED OF AN ONOMATOPOEIA; CALL IN THE HOWDAREYOU …oh, wait, that’s me. πŸ˜€

The word “Boom” as Ryan used it is derived from the way a deep, instantaneous, and powerful noise sounds to the English ear (hence the classification of an onomatopoeia). However, in this context, the word also contains the derivative connotation of releasing a much anticipated work of art or content, the likes of which are expected to impress and impact to the extent that the beholder will react in a similar fashion to hearing (and feeling) an actual “boom”, such as from an unexpectedly close thunderclap.

It fascinates me how one syllable can contain so much information and nuance!

    *looks around*

Should I be helping to remedy the after-effects of the explosion rather than stalling for the rescue teams to arrive?

Unless he’s just releasing the #AuxCableFan episode tomorrow. But even that would be as cool as the “Ice Chest Pillow”. πŸ˜€

From the Wikipedia article about the game, it seems like a game that the YouTube channel Extra Credits would talk about for its ambitious game design…actually, they did on their “Games You Might Not Have Tried #9. Kristen would probably like the game.

#thatmomentwhen The Aux Cable inside joke of “-ation Station” comes to mind when watching this video, merely because of a rhyming reference:

Most impressed with Kelli doing her own stunts.

Re-reading this thread makes me appreciate how much work Matthew put into making the Not-Forum a pleasant experience for us F.A.C.E.s. It also makes me yearn for a return of Manalive Smith’s wit and wordplay to the Not-Forum. #BringBackManalive

That is impressive…I wonder how many potatoes were experimented with in order to achieve that “instrument quality” carving… He must be pretty confident in his abilities, though, because he did not try to preserve in instrument at all.
*investigates the channel that posted the video*
Hmmm… one video, over a million views, only between 5k-6k subscribers, channel was made nine months before the video was posted, and the video was posted only 11 days ago. Not sure what to make of that. It could be the start of something fascinating, or it could be a one-hit-wonder. Hopefully he makes more content like that.

    Hmmm….

I’m getting a weird picture in my head with the phrase “sniffed it out”. Was that an autocorrect from “snuffed it out”? They just smothered her hair until the fire went out, right?

So glad that however the fire was put out, it was put out without anyone getting hurt. Probably not going to sit tube close to that fireplace next time. πŸ™‚

We missed you, Explosive Yeast! I was looking forward to your segment on the Aux Cable Holiday Special: Fan Edition answering Kristen’s question, “What was the best thing before sliced bread?”, but I guess that will have to wait for another episode. πŸ™‚

MasΓΈn, what were the circumstances that your sister was “hit with a fireball”? That sounds like a cause for praising God that she didn’t receive any burns. Did it look something like this:

Playing catch-up on responding to parts of this thread:

    1. The only time I’ve seen the Lion King was on a coach bus ride during my senior (in high school) class trip to St. Louis. When I said, “Most F.A.C.E.s would have sung along to the movie as well if in that exact same situation”, “the movie” referred to Rebekah’s remark of “one of my favorite movies” not to her remark of “the lion king”. I was not attempting to insinuate that F.A.C.E.s need to be well-versed on that particular animated Disney film. Instead, I was trying to point out that the acts of watching a favorite movie and singing along to it without regard to peer pressure or social stigma (even if in the presence of children) is something that a F.A.C.E. would do.

    2. There were no terrible segments in the #AuxCableFan episode. Yes, it is weird to listen to your own voice on recording, and it’s really weird to hear something aloud compared to how you planned it to sound in your head. Nevertheless, “weird-sounding” to the creator does not necessarily equal “terrible-sounding” to the listener. Please don’t let discomfort in hearing your own segment(s) discourage you from appreciating this piece of art or from creating more in the future.

    3. “Aux Cable: The Musical Episode” is something that would be thoroughly enjoyed by most Aux Cable Fans! However, the β€œInevitable Countdown to Ryan Saying all the All-Star Lyrics” might require its own special episode, unless sufficient editing and autotune can be applied to make it sound like he’s singing the song. I’m not sure about this though; it all depends on how we define “musical”.
