Masøn meant “fewer years” not “less years”; years are countable.
I’m sure that totally cleared up the confusion as to what Masøn was trying to say.
As
To be honest, if a carrot stick showed up to my house on Halloween, costume or no costume, I wouldn’t answer the door. Tube scary for me. xD
Finally Finished!!!!
I successfully doubled the size of the Inner Tube Episode 180 comment section, from 19 to 38 comments.
Please read the comments and reply accordingly. Even if we don’t make it to 126, I appreciate your comment replies.

Still working on the TOPHAT title applicationâŚ
Sorry everyone.
I started writing some very good comments last night, but I stayed up tube late and fell asleep.
I will finish the comments this afternoon hopefully and post them so that we can make use of what we have left of the weekend to get as many comments posted as possible.
Thanks for being patient with me!

Hmmm…
From looking at Masøn’s & Josiah’s comments, it looks like it’s up to me to get the ball rolling. I do think that there are “LOADS of stuff” in that episode that can be talked about. I just have to decide how to extrapolate the talking points in such a way that inspires comment responses. Hopefully I can keep them succinct, so that it’s easier to read and respond without taking up tube much time.
If I succeeded in my aim, you should be able to read many comments on Episode 180 by Saturday morning. If I didn’t succeed, you won’t see any of them posted. I’ll post a message here either way.

Greetings to every F.A.C.E!
Obviously what I thought would happen with the Inner Tube Episode 180 comment section did not. Nobody from Blimeycon has posted a comment yet. I was hoping that it would be the final stage of a two-part Kerfuffle, but that has not come to fruition at this point. We’re not even up to 16 comments yet. Consequently, here are my top five alternatives to propose:
1. We abort the mission and say that the Episode 179 Kerfuffle was sufficient for the Inner Tube.
2. We choose not to abort the mission entirely, but we lengthen the time scale from one week to tube weeks, since it may have some residual listeners who discover it later than the episode’s release week.
3. I go through the episode, moment by moment, post comments about it, and give some starting fodder to the Episode 180 comment section.
4. Every F.A.C.E. goes to the episode and carries out a discussion with many comments, drawing vague inspiration from the episode (similar to the WWBTR Kerfuffle).
5. A combination of alternatives 3. and 4. (possibly even combining 2.), in order to make an attempt at maximum comment output.
I’m not sure how to proceed, so I’d like to hear what you have to suggest. What I don’t want to do is to post a plethora of comments there and have no one respond. That’s why I’m asking you for input.
I won’t be posting anything until this evening at the earliest, and I will check here before proceeding.
Sincerely,
Jeff Ross

I don’t think that this old topic needs to be brought up again, except to the fact that the end of Inner Tube Episode 180 might make a little more sense if the listener is aware of this debate between Zach and Kevin.
You don’t need to re-read the debate, just know that the two have political philosophy differences. đ

Here are the final stats that Iâll be compiling regarding the Inner Tube Episode 179 comment section:
Josiah the Carrot Stick: 35
Jeff Ross: 30
Masøn M. & aliases: 25
Dawn: 16
Kristen (poulet frit)/Kristen: 14
Corban Garcia: 3
Tin Man: 1
Awkward Potato: 1
Defintiely not Josiah: 1 (and yes, that is how the name was spelled)
Total: 126
You are welcome to keep commenting there if you wish, but now comes stage TUBE of the Comment Kerfuffle: Episode 180. Please listen to this episode and think about what you wish to comment on. This episode shatters the previous record of âmost number of people in an Inner Tube episodeâ, and it features some exclusive reveals during Adler Davidsonâs first time ever on the show.
That being said, I would prefer that Tubesday be reserved for any significant comments that the show directly inspired you to make, and then Wednesday start diving in full force into diverging conversations. Iâm hoping that those who attended the live showing take time to leave a comment right away, such that they help to grow the number of comments beyond what we could do on our own. Come Wednesday, though, feel free to Comment Kerfuffle away. Our goal is to surpass 128 by Saturday. Or is that asking tube much? Weâll see how this goes.
Of course, you can comment however you wish. There just wonât be a string of 10+ comments from me to start this particular section, in hopes that Blimeycon attendees will be more encouraged to post right away.
Thanks again for your help!
Sincerely,
Jeff Ross

Still working on that TOPHAT titleâŚ
Time for a quick interjection:
I am busy contriving a creative and appropriate (not-tube-long) list of my favorite things and other helpful tidbits of information relevant to my potential title in TOPHAT, but I am curious to hear what Dawn’s guess is for how roughly how old she thinks I am, since I answered her podcast question. Odds are that I’m older than Dawn, despite the fact that I haven’t read enough of the Not-Forum to know how old she is.
One hint for Josiah’s sake: I am older than 12 years old. Having younger siblings, I also believe creatures that post online content should be at least 13 years old.
179
Defintiely (yes, that spelling is intentional)
Time for an interjection from me before I go back to a non-internet zone for the evening (hopefully I’ll be done with non-internet zones in a few days):
I like the idea of a speech writer. However, I don’t know how often speeches are necessary for this administration. What circumstances would warrant a speech? What are the typical expectations for a TOPHAT speech?
Secondly, are their any other ideas for titles or roles? I just want to make sure that I am contributing to TOPHAT in the most optimal way possible. Feel free to be as creative as you wish.
Thank you, honorable members of TOPHAT!

Greetings to every F.A.C.E.!
I am once again in a non-wifi location, but I had some unused data on my cell phone plan, so I am using it to post this comment. Not to write this comment, though. I wrote it up offline and copy/pasted it here so that the data usage is minimal.
The results from the first 112 comments on Inner Tube Episode 179 are as follows:
Josiah the Carrot Stick: 28
Jeff Ross: 28
Masøn M. and aliases: 25
Dawn: 14
Kristen (poulet frit): 11
Corban Garcia: 3
Tin Man: 1
Awkward Potato: 1
Defintiely not Josiah: 1
Total: 112
(I know that there have been more comments posted since 112, but I had saved the first 112 to a word document before #113 was posted so that I would not have to spend extra time trying to figure out which comment came when from time stamp alone.)
I will try to do one final comment count after Episode 180 comes out, which should signify the end of the comments on Episode 179.
Dawn, I used a little bit more of my cell phone’s data to reply to your question in the comments about podcasts. It was one of my most thorough comments. Sorry for the slow reply to such a good question.
Manalive Smith, I’m sorry that the teleprompter stopped working during my F.A.C.E. acceptance speech before I got to the part that mentioned you. Thank you for your support of me receiving this honor. I have posted in the TOPHAT thread (thanks Masøn for telling me about it) for the processes to begin for me to be admitted and receive a rank in the organization.
Thanks again, everyone, for your help with this endeavor to maximize the Inner Tube Episode 179 comment section! I am looking forward to Episode 180, both for the novelty of a live studio audience Inner Tube Episode, and for the Comment Kerfuffle for that episode, which will surpass Episode 179 and hopefully include comments from the people who were at the r-e-c-o-r-d-i-n-g (Innerside Joke) in-person.

Greetings, honorable members of The Overly Punny Honor Association of Trolls!
Your Secretary of the Canadian Treasury, Manalive Smith, recently nominated me to be at least an honorary member of your association and be given a suitable title. I am posting this message to begin the confirmation and title idea generation processes.
I would like to clarify that I am not a troll by nature, but I have come to a sufficient understanding of the species over years of study. I also hail from the USA, the great melting pot of trolls and non-trolls alike.
Godspeed in your decisions. I shall report back after some time and interject appropriately.
Sincerely,
Jeff Ross
Greetings to every F.A.C.E.!
I’m still compiling stats on the first 112 comments, but I checked this thread this morning and thought I could helpfully interject with a piece of relevant information:
While I have not read much of the Not-Forum, I did scan it quickly for a thread that might provide some relevant information regarding the definition of what makes a “F.A.C.E.” What I came across was a thread called “Fanbase Name”, in which Manalive Smith said:
“If youâre not on the forum or actively supporting them in some other way (Patreon) you are an ACE. It just doesnât come up much on the forum, because once youâre on here youâre no longer and ACE.”
I could not tell from context whether this meant regular forum posters or occasional forum posters, but perhaps you can look back at that thread and determine what the intent was.
That being said, I receive the title of F.A.C.E. with gratitude. *steps up to podium to make an acceptance speech* First of all, I’d like to thank God for creating me, my parents for raising me, and my internet provider for making this situation possible. I’d also like to thank Ryan and Matthew for creating the Aux Cable and the Not-Forum. Finally, I’d like to thank Poulet Frit for nominating me to become a F.A.C.E., Masøn M. and Awkward Potato for voting for me, and Josiah the Carrot Stick for not objecting. I am deeply humbled by this honor and…Oh, it looks like my teleprompter stopped working. I guess I’ll cut this short. Thank you again, everyone! *steps down from podium while the audience applauds for a short speech*
Hopefully this post can help the details of rank to be hammered out. Or is rank different from being an A.C.E. or a F.A.C.E.? Bear with me, I’m still learning how this all works.
Sincerely,
Jeff Ross

Officially a F.A.C.E.
Greetings to every F.A.C.E.!
I am about to travel tonight to a location with no internet access, so I’m posting this message a bit early.
Thanks for your help in reaching the 112 comment milestone on Inner Tube Episode 179 comments!
I’ll compile stats for the 112 mark and post them here tomorrow, in case you’re curious (unless you beat me to it).
Have a great weekend everyone! đ

Greetings to every F.A.C.E.!
I wanted to give you a quick update on how the comments are going in the Inner Tube Episode 179 comment section (I also posted these in comment #75):
Jeff Ross: 26
Masøn M./Mason M./Mas[crossy o]n M.: 15
Josiah the Carrot Stick: 15
Kristen (poulet frit)/Kristen: 11
Dawn: 5
Defintiely not Josiah: 1 (and yes, that is how the name was spelled)
Tin Man: 1
Corban Garcia 1

Today is Friday, so we are still on target to hit the 100 comment mark by Saturday. Thanks again for your continuing help with this. I am not sure if I will have way more time or way less time than normal for commenting today, so your help is greatly appreciated.

Officially an A.C.E. for the moment…
Greetings to every F.A.C.E.!
I just wanted to say âDankeschĂśnâ for helping the Inner Tube to reach its highest comment total for any podcast episode to date. We have surpassed 50 comments on the episode, and the percentage of those comments being mine have fallen below 50%, which is a good thing.
That being said, Masøn M. has requested that we push for 100 comments on the episode. There is still plenty of time to accomplish this, as comments on Inner Tube episodes often trickle in until the next episode is released. I think that having 100 by Saturday should be no problem, let alone next Tubesday.
I also wanted to say that I appreciate the quality of the comments left on the episode. So often itâs easy to spam a comment section with nonsense, but yâall have demonstrated great effort to post witty and appropriate things, carrying on several conversations with substance to them. If Inner Tube listeners were to happen upon that comment section and read every single post, they would not be disappointed, even if they skipped all of the ones that I wrote.
I did post in comment #50 the stats for the users who posted the first 50 comments, but I will post them again here for the sake of efficiency:
Jeff Ross: 19
Masøn M./Mason M.: 12
Josiah the Carrot Stick: 8
Kristen (poulet frit)/Kristen: 6
Dawn: 3
Defintiely not Josiah: 1 (and yes, that is how the username was spelled)
Tin Man: 1
Total: 50
Thanks again for your continuing help with this. This show of support has really encouraged me, and Iâm sure will encourage Josh, Kevin, and Corban as well.
Sincerely,
Jeff Ross

Apparently a F.A.C.E. just for commenting? At least officially an A.C.E. now.
Greetings to every F.A.C.E.!
I donât normally read what happens here in the Not-Forum, but I happened upon this particular thread after Josiahâs and Masønâs recent Inner Tube comments. I decided that this week, Episode 179 of the Inner Tube, should be the week starting the official âComment Kerfuffleâ, since the episode inspired me to write tube many comments. (It is a really good episode.)
If you have the time, please listen to Episode 179 of the Inner Tube, then read the comments listed below the episode at innertubeshow.com. Feel free to leave your own, witty, original comments or replies to the comments of mine and others. They donât have to include Innerside jokes, but they can if you wish.
I am not seeking to drag you away from the Not-Forum permanently. Instead, I am hoping that the large number of comments for this episode will hopefully hype up the live audience episode of next week, Episode 180. Episode 180 might have Ryan Matlock and/or Matthew Bird in it (since I think theyâll be at Blimeycon), and that might be of interest to Aux Cable listeners anyway. Therefore, leaving comments in the Inner Tube comment section this week may set up for an even bigger set of comments for next week. Episode 180 should be the actual âComment Kerfuffleâ, where yâall post as much as you wish about the episode, but this could serve as a âtest runâ and bring awareness to the cause.
I decided upon the âtest-runâ approach because, if I recall correctly, the official âComment Kerfuffle of 2017â was a two-week ordeal, consisting of Episodes 15 & 16 of the Aux Cable (though it spilled into Episode 17). I could be mistaken, though.
Thanks in advance for your help. Without it, I may look silly for posting over 10 comments on the episode all by myself. As I write this, my comments comprise of over 78% of the comment section.
Sincerely,
Jeff Ross

Possibly an A.C.E., but definitely not a F.A.C.E. yet. (Iâm not entirely sure how I fit into the criteria for those titles.)
