I recently read a Valuable Fictional Deliverance from the sadness that occurred in canon, which is called “we built our own house” and can be found on the Archive of Our Own website. It is full of Valiantly Fought Dangers and Vivid Feelings Depictions, as well as Vigilant Fire Dogs. 11/10 would recommend.
