It’ll probably be a while before we’re all in the right creative mood to put a dent in this story again, but I just want to say that I don’t want people to feel intimidated by how weirdly into this I’ve been. I’ve got plans, more plans than are reasonable for a game on the forum of a semi-dead podcast, but if someone does something that completely changes the dynamic of the story or of a character, I’m completely up for rolling with the punches. Part of the fun, at least I think, comes from those moments where someone takes it in a direction that you weren’t expecting and we all have to adjust accordingly.

Also, sorry for making a 7-page entry that mostly revolves around the Drake and Josh theme song. I don’t know what weird place my mind was at when I pumped that out.

No worries on your output, Troy. I think we all put more effort in than is warranted, but that helped to make the story bigger than it could have ever been otherwise. 😀

To be clear, though, the Aux Cable is alive and well; it’s just that there are several episodes that haven’t been edited & posted yet. The Patrons do see the live-streams of the episodes. I think Ryan and Matthew are quickly realizing part of the reason why the Inner Tube went to an unedited structure around 160 episodes ago.

It’s heavily implied that Lord Kumquat might be the voice that helped Peter in his dream. From there, one would assume he knows something about the time lord home world scenario that Peter was transported into.

What happened to Douglas and Ryan? And what happened to going to TOPHAT headquarters?

So they all met up in what remains of TOPHAT HQ, from there the only issue is that Ryan, Douglas and the silver box aren’t mentioned in the new entry.

There technically aren’t any continuity issues in the new entry since you could say that Ryan and Douglas are there, just not mentioned. I’m more annoyed with how we keep jumping these massive periods of time.

Anyway, I guess the biggest question is where the Power Bracelet is since that’s the main thing that Kristen is after.

(My biggest question is: “Is Troy contributing to the ‘Aux Cable Holiday Special: Fan Edition’?” I haven’t seen anything yet to suggest that the F.A.C.E. with some of the most experience recording audio has submitted anything to Franklin yet.)

It’s very informal, Troy. Mostly what we’ve done so far is look at Questions that Kristen composed (listed on the “Kristen’s Questions” thread), recorded a response, and e-mailed the audio to Franklin at AuxCableFans@gmail.com. However, any sort of aux-cable related style content would be appreciated. You could even do a reading of your favorite part of the “Once Upon A Time” story to preview a potential audio production of it (or come up with your own trailer for the story), or come up with your own question to answer that subtly relates to your content creation. Personally, I’d love to hear you answer the question, “what is a kumquat?”, but any addition, no matter how small would be considered by Fanklin and appreciated.

Where? I’m not sure where that would have happened, but if it has anything to do with Josiah, I’m guessing it’s a Zelda reference.

I can’t remember who brought it up, but it’s the big mcguffin that we need to know about in order to move the plot forward.

OH I GOT YOU.

So we moved into the Legend of Zelda, and in the Legend of Zelda there’s a power bracelet item, and it has the power of teleportation. Since Kristen clearly has the gift of teleportation, I thought it would be interesting to explain the power bracelet’s power by saying a Time Lord was contained in it.

*“As the new President of TOPHAT, the Tenacious Objective Prominent Association of Timelords, I appoint you to guard Kristen in a pocket world, known as Hyrule. She is bound in the Power Bracelet, where certain people may use her Timelord powers to gain momentary strength and to warp between portals.” Josiah held out the Power Bracelet to Mason; Mason nodded solemnly, took the powerful bracelet and tucked it in a pocket.*

Mason got locked into the Power Bracelet after his essence was removed, and Josiah later freed him (which is why he recognizes only Josiah out of the other TimeLords when they first interact)

Then Kristen wants a deal with Mason

“…The Bracelet took some of my essence. And while I have a few essences that aren’t my own,” Kristen pulled out the orb and rolled it between her fingers, “That doesn’t replace MY essence. So I’ll offer you a deal. You find the Power Bracelet and fetch it for me, and I’ll return your essence. What do you say?”

We don’t have Mason’s answer on this yet. It could have gone either way though.

Ah, gotcha.

Doesn’t quite seem like the deal would’ve gone either way since it doesn’t seem like Kristen would’ve let them go so easily unless she had a deal with Mason.

But regardless, would the power bracelet still be in Hyrule at this point? Or is it in the TOPHAT HQ?
