Me too I mean the whole franklins and ACCU was a little confusing but there was some really good additions I don’t think we should totally abandon everything after page 17. I don’t know. I also really like how you rebooted the franklins and Doc/ Douglas though I for the first time made sense of it
So Part One of the story was eaten by Langoliers, now we need to figure out when Part Two starts and what parts from Part One are still canon.
OH MY GOSH ITS CRAZY!! Good job kumquat, although try to keep it pg, don’t use hell as a curse word please… But now the question is, where do we pick back up, I honestly think this is a brilliant way to go back without just dropping everything, bravo!
I say we keep everything canon.
So the continuation picks up right before the Chris reveal, where the Phantom has just captured a bunch of the group, Peter and Douglas are the only main characters in the ACCU’s possession, and Chris and the rest of the group are off doing whatever. So far we’ve added that Kristen is offering to return Mason’s Time Lord essence in exchange for him bringing her The Power Bracelet. It’s not totally clear if Mason accepts the offer because we immediately cut to the pair being spied on by the ACCU and Lord Kumquat who get visual confirmation that Kristen is in possession of multiple Time Lord essences and plan on taking them (in addition to the other Time Lords). In order to draw out Kristen, they plan on waking Peter up in order to use him as bait (because, if I remember correctly, Kristen technically made Peter). Meanwhile, Peter has just gone through the Bat-Goblin/Hotel simulation thing and rather than be content with his victory, he continues to listen to the mysterious voice that tells him to wake up and he unlocks some of his abilities, accidentally breaking part of the simulation.
And now hopefully you’re caught up.
Kumquat, do you have an idea who the voice is or is it just a disembodied voice?
There are a couple of possibilities, but I’m going to leave it open to interpretation for now. I had something in mind but I’m fine with someone having a different explanation.
Sounds good! I’m a bit busy today and tomorrow, but I should be able to cook something up this weekend to add to the story. I only work 38 hours this week. *squeals inside head because he’s a silent introvert*
Update: We now know where Brooke ended up when she got separated from the group. She’s on some kind of desert planet with two suns and has just stumbled across an ancient time lord temple before meeting up with a recently escaped Douglas. Douglas revealed that he was a mole planted in the ACCU by TOPHAT in order for them to keep track of the Galactic Reich, but he figured that they had been onto him even before he tried to help Peter escape. It’s highly likely that the ACCU let him go so that he would lead them to more time lords, so it’s important for the two to leave quickly. Brooke has run out of ingredients to make her escape portal, but Douglas brought a metal box with him. And I have no idea what’s in the box.
For those of you keeping track at home, we now have three cliffhangers in just this new section alone:
-Did Mason take the deal?
-Where’s Peter now?
-What’s in the box?
I have an idea for where Peter is, but it’s all up in the air right now.
So he’s not still in the simulation? Did the portal free him somehow? Also, I may try to come up with an idea for the box, since I haven’t added for a long time. But if someone else has an idea, go for it.
GO FOR IT AWKWARD
Okay, I’m sorry, but the new entry lost me. What’s going on?
Dawn and Manalive are in some place called ‘The Wood In-Between’ (I think), and Ryan’s alter ego is there also, who switches to just Ryan. Dawn seems to also have an alternate name. She makes errors as she speaks on purpose, which essentially recalls Josiah from the Phantom’s Grasp.
So is Chris actually Ryan now?
Different Chris.
Hopefully that helps. Also, don’t take anything I said as exactly what happened. For instance, I inferred that Josiah is kind of summoned when Dawn makes Grammatical errors, because he was last seen captured by The Phantom. It could be this is taking place earlier though.
Holy cow, Ryan did SanderSides before SanderSides existed…
Just for continuity’s sake I’m gonna point out that Douglas/Franklin have never actually interacted with these guys, only Peter and Brooke so far… That was the only inconsistency I can spot, but for the sake of this story abiding to its own universe, I had to point it out…
Perhaps Dawn broke the fourth wall for the sake of the reader or something (I don’t know). It wouldn’t be a first time a character broke the fourth wall.
Okay, that cleared things up a bit.
Also kind of dark how Josiah left Kye and Mason behind just because he needed to teleport to correct Dawn’s grammar. We’re starting to tetter over the line from quirky to psychotic with this character, which makes it even stranger that he’s the president of an intergalactic organization like TOPHAT.
CRAP SNAP I FORGOT JOSIAH WAS ACCOUNTED FOR MY BAD.
I was doing a fun poke at the beginning of the story when Josiah appeared out of nowhere to note that if Robecca is a cow, she is a female.
And Josiah said then that he could only do that every three days.
Wait do we have all the characters accounted for?
Also I’ll edit that last scene so it makes more sense lol
And the fourth wall break was a mistake XD
Just going to tack on the fixed version to the continued? thread
I have no problem with being psychotic.
I think that would be an interesting character trait…
Indeed.
This next entry I’m writing is focusing on the Peter, ACCU, and Lord Kumquat story, but in general I want to try and beef up Peter’s character. I feel like he’s the closest thing that we have to a main protagonist and there’s been a little bit of a disconnect between him and the audience ever since the cave.
