Ticket to Ride (I believe Matthew has mentioned playing this before)
Pandemic (only played this once, so I don’t really know what I’m doing)
Codenames (This one is probably the best option)
7 Wonders (…might intimidate some people)
Saboteur (I’m terrible at it, but whatever…)
Catan (Yeah, it’s stereotypical, but whatever)
Trivial Pursuit (Preferably (c)1981)
I may think of more…
Capitalism is also called President or Scum, and uses a simple card deck.
The capitalism I’m speaking of is fast-paced and awesome but I do know of a version where it is exceedingly slow and painful.
PENTE is a glorious game that’s a challenge but easily finished. It is a board game that has a fabric “board”
Okay, thanks for the clarification.
I forgot Dutch Blitz. That needs to happen.
Of all those, I’ve only played Ticket to Ride and Dutch Blitz (although it’s been a while for both of them). Carcassonne (however you spell it) is fun and pretty easy too. Also, thanks Dawn.
Oh, yeah we should play Carcassonne. I’ve never played it myself, but I watched my cousin play it online once.
There’s an online version?
Yeah. Hang on a sec.
I’m pretty sure Saboteur is on this website, too.

Cool! I’ll have to play that sometime.
Yeah!
I know where Auxcon should happen…
It’s the same amount of inconvenience to everyone…
It’s somewhere pretty cool…
It’s also a pun…
Auxcon must happen in Oxford, England… Or Auxford, if you will…
Yes.
Good one!
I’m game
Indeed.
Perfect. Then maybe Josiah will finally be happy.
*bows*
I’ve played ticket to ride (more or less), Catan, 7 Wonders, and Capitalism, (though we called it Scum). I also play hearts. Euchre’s fun if anyone is up for it, and I have always wanted to learn bridge.
Speaking of 7 Wonders I got to touch a marble lion from the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus. The British Museum is using it as a banister on one of their staircases.
Ooh, nice.
Desert
Gold only
Anyone ever played Balderdash? Also known as the dictionary game
I think I’ve played an informal version before.
I have the official board game, and let me tell you, there are some strange words out there. Like itaiitai. And kaka. It’s one of my favorite games. I will definitely bring some of the cards (the board is pretty unnecessary) to Awkscon.
Sounds good.
I…don’t play board games. So I’m gonna be here in the corner not suggesting anything
What about that game we played on the group call with the books? I forget what it’s called
Bring your own book
I bought the Jackbox Party Pack 3 games, so I could get that… I also know that Chris has it… But yeah…
