My manager and I were arguing earlier about the best place to bunker down.
So, research has been done, and they said if you live in like NYC, you would have days, whereas people in the middle of nowhere Kansas would have up to a month. Which means my area would have about a week before we had a ton of zombies.
I said that the best thing to do was to hit up and raid bass pro shop for weapons, and then go to Sams club.
She said she would stay at home.
I have a ton of points for why sams club, but want yalls opinions
Bass pro shop has all the weapons necessary…
Sams club has a ton of food, clothing, gas, generators, some have weapons, beds, couches, etc. And it’s all concrete walls, no windows. From the top of it, you can sniper rifle the zombies or throw off propane tanks and then drop a lighter down and burn the zombies.
Oh yeah, Sams Club all the way
Her argument was that she knew her house and could use her child as bait.
At Sams club you wouldn’t need to use children as bait!
I’ve already said, though, that if a zombie apocalypse ever happened, and if there was definitely no hope for humanity after 3-ish years, I would probably commit suicide… Maybe… Depending on the circumstances
MASON DON’T LEAVE US!
I would much rather have someone I love mercy kill me then me possibly infect others
In this theoretical future I’m already living on the moon, so I’m not too worried.
Oh yeah, and I have a Switch, so I’m good.
You got a switch?!?!?!
This is the hypothetical future in which Manalive is on the moon.
Can I be married to aaron tveit??
If you say so.
I mean, it makes sense. That’s what they did in Dawn Of The Dead.
You just need to make sure that you know your way around the store, you know where all the exits are, and you can position yourself in a high-up location.
All exits would be blocked and have motion sensors…like a jerrry-rigged deer cam type thing (using supplies from bass pro shop), and we wouldn’t need to leave until supplies were running out…which hopefully wouldn’t be for a while.
Doors wouldn’t get opened for anybody at all. Once they are closed, they stay that way. As people in my group get naturally sick, mercy killings. If they get stupid, push them off the roof. Rifles and such would be for standing on the roof and killing the zombies below, we would have other weapons for up close combat (but hopefully never have to use them).
Zombies can’t smell through concrete (…right?) So we would be safe from giving away our location except when we go on the roof.
I wouldn’t wanna leave until we have most of the zombies in our area killed, and I would probably have another Sams club or costco locked up tight as a second base when base 1 loses too much food.
I haven’t thought about my team yet.
I feel bad for anybody that accidentally ends up in the dollar store during a Zombie apocalypse.
IT’S ALIVE!!
Franklin, I thought that was a Frankenstein line, not a zombie apocalypse line.
This is an entertaining thread.
I have more thoughts about this because I’ve been watching Doomsday Preppers.
But I haven’t had coffee, so…later
So I think I would need an underground bunker as well. Because I doubt my group can kill off all the zombies in the world with just our supplies from Bass Pro Shop and Sams Club.
I have friends that are willing to make underground bunkers on their property in the woods (hypothetically speaking of course).
But…can natural elements kill zombies? How long would we have to wait? Would zombies take over the world? Am I better off staying at Sams Club or underground?
Would other countries bomb America to try to kill zombies?
…dang it, now I’m gonna be googling zombie stuff all day. Sorry for my random thoughts

So…Sams club…wait for it to die down…try to head to the Rocky Mountains since I’m so far from them.
I would probably die in 24 hours if we are being honest
I feel like dying would be preferable to living in this circumstance.
I’m with this guy, and I really don’t think zombies are what we should be concerned about:
I would consider the option of tree houses. Depending on how fast the outbreak spread, you might have time to prepare one. You would probably want to lop off the lower branches, and have a way to escape to another tree. Also, if I were to raid a store it would be a Lowe’s or something along those lines.
Ooh, good point.
Can zombies swim?… Why can’t you just start a stateless society on a habitable island?
That’s true, but can you find a way to get to an island in time, and an island to inhabit? Of course, there are probably islands in the middle of lakes, so if you find one, that’s actually a pretty good plan.
Why stateless?
Because when government falls we can establish a semi ideal civilization that functions together.
