Yes I did! That was fun. I’m starting to get the hang of it after a couple days.
Nintendo Cardboard, everybody.
I’m in love with this. It’s exactly something I’d want as a kid!
I know right! I hate all the hate its getting right now. Sure, it’s expensive, but a lot of people are forgetting it comes with an actual game…
Agree. It’s like reactionary comments. But overall people do seem positive
When I saw the piano I thought: ‘oh a little stand for your Switch. That’s kind of cool I guess.’ But of course there was more than that, it’s Nintendo.
Wait, what’s the cost?
$69.99 for the set that has the piano, house, and that stuff. The robot kit is $79.99.
I think it’s fair pricing. It doesn’t look like cheap card board either. And PROJECT GIANT ROBOT was put to use!!!
Yeah, it does look like pretty nice cardboard.
So I started a channel with my first video reacting to Nintendo Labo. Check it out if you want but it’s not the greatest reaction or video ever.
I am in love with my thumbnail, just not my shaggy face and hair, lol
Lol, it looks fine! And the video was great tube!
That is a great thumbnail.
Thumbnail was top-notch…the video itself is one that will probably be privatized after a few months, but it shows great potential. I’ll have to keep my eye on the channel for future excellence.
Fun Fact: Today I was putting some Bankers Boxes together at work and I came to appreciate how high-quality cardboard is worth added cost, especially if it must be put together a certain way.
Thanks guys! And yeah, I haven’t used banker boxes before. That is a good comparison.
I just 100% Odyssey. It is the first game I believe I have ever 100% ever.
Awesome!!! I have yet to 100 it. I’ve been stuck on Rocket League, lol. Though I did beat the story in Odyssey
I’ve only 100 Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time, and Majora’s mask.
Oh and Mario 64 DS and New Super Mario Bros for the DS
Oh my word, I loved New Super Mario Bros. DS. I think that was my first ever core Mario game. I actually got two copies of it, because I lost my first one and loved the game so much I begged for a second. That’s one of my favorite games ever…
I came close to 100% Skyward Sword, but I didn’t.
Thoughts on Nintendo and Illumination making a Mario movie? I’m optimistic since Nintendo is highly involved, but then again I thought Power Rangers would be good (And it could of but it was poorly executed in character motivation. Plus other things I don’t like but I regress)
I honestly think it’ll depend on how the animation looks… Since it IS Illumination, we can get a good idea of what it’ll be like, but… I don’t know. It depends on what kind of route it takes. There really has never been an absolutely INCREDIBLE story in a core Mario game. “Hey, the princess is gone. Go get ‘er.” But I’m holding out hope. Not setting unreasonable expectations, but also not totally against it.
Same. I’m keeping my expectations low. But if it can hit the feels like the end of Mario Galaxy or (at least for me) portray determination to beat Bowser like in Mario Odyssey, I think it could do it. But I’m mostly concerned with voice acting since its never been a strong Mario trait with Super Mario Sunshine the exception.
I think that character voices will be the biggest concern as well. I don’t really know much about the film, but some of the best stories in mario games stem from the RPG games. Some of those would make decent movies.
Yup. And honestly, maybe it’s because I haven’t played it in AGES, but I really loved the Super Paper Mario story. It was just so different. And I agree, on the Galaxy front. We’ll just have to wait and see… Who knows, maybe it’ll be like a Super Mario Super Show reboot… On the Galaxy note, though, that does make me curious. Where are they gonna draw the line for what characters they bring in. They will most definitely have the core; Mario, Luigi, Peach, maybe Toad, Bowser. But I wonder if they’ll go the extra mile and bring in Daisy, Rosalina, Toadette, Toadsworth, Bowser Jr.[s], Yoshi, Birdo, E.Gadd, and even Waluigi and Wario. Even further, bring in Donkey Kong, but that may be a bit too much of an extended universe. But idk… Maybe they even do some kind of FLUDD/Cappy Easter Egg or cameo too. But it really is too early to tell…
I think Illumination really needs to emulate what Blue Sky did with the Peanuts movie, that is nailing the characters and the overall feel as opposed to making sure it has a perfect plot.
Me thinks that Nintendo should avoid starting a Mushroom Kingdom Cinematic Universe. At least, for now.
Yeah I s’pose… But, I mean, if the movie ends up doing really well…
Heh.
