Dawn, what are you looking at going to college for?
Apparently I’m average weight for my age now… but I’m well above average height.
Two people asked me what I’m going to college for yesterday…
Potato could theoretically be older than Chris… but I have no idea. Kristen would know better than I would.
Potato isn’t older than Chris from what I can tell.
I have always been in the 90 percentile for my height and 20th for my weight….I don’t know if that still counts now…lemme check
So for my height, gender, and age, I am underweight…
Hopefully when I finally excercise like I’ve been meaning to I can add some muscle to these skin and bones that is me.
Looks like I’m in the 60th height percentile. 30th weight? I don’t understand this thingy…
You are taller than 60% of guys your age. You you weigh 30% less than most guys your age.
I think I got that right
OK so 50 is average.
You are 10% taller than most guys your age.
You are 20% skinnier than most guys your age
I have always been 40% taller than girls my age, and 30% skinnier.
Now when you hit a certain age, they stop having it like that, and what “matters” is your bmi. Which is based off of your height and weight. It’s the percentage of fat in your body, but it tends to be inaccurate. For example, if a 5’8 guys is ripped (very muscular) his bmi will be high but he isn’t overweight as the bmi chart would indicate
Nice to meet you too, Chris! And that’s really cool that you like drawing! I should probably add in here that I’m planning on being a graphic design student in the fall. With yearbook, I’m more logos, layout, infographics, and typeface-oriented, but I do like drawing as well! Do you treat your Surface Pro as more of a tablet? Or do you have any recommendations? My friend and I are both looking for a good device to use for digital art.
And Dawn, I’m connecting the dots haha. So you’re Shining Dawn? I thought that was you when you mentioned noticing me in Adler’s live stream chat, but I wasn’t sure. I totally get the not reading during school thing and the wanting to Youtube thing. You’re involved in so much stuff, though! Are you a senior in high school, too? Or do you not want to say?
I’m pretty average height and weight, but I’ve always been small compared to the people I know, and I look a lot younger.
Yeah, people have a tendency to think I’m a year or so younger than what I actually am…
Well, I suppose I should finally catch up on this thread and tell you all about me now…here goes.
I absolutely love reading, singing and playing piano (although I don’t read music very well so it’s mostly by ear)
I was homeschooled until I got to high school and am still in high school
I have a very annoying cat that I still love anyway
I’ve always kinda wanted to make a YouTube channel with singing and piano but I never have
I would love to be a writer someday but I’d need to devote more time to it
YouTube is awesome, especially the Blimey Cow/Pun Diddley/EntrePUNeur/Adler communities, but also music stuff
There’s probably a ton of other stuff, but that’s basically me.
(I just got a picture of my baby) (hairless cat, 5 weeks old. I get him in 5 weeks) (his eyes are so blue!!)
Yall are so talented…
Kristen, you like math. That’s insane talent in my book.
And yay, Potato! I’m so glad I’m finally getting to know y’all! And yes, you’re all super talented!
I’m not THAT talented… all I do is sit around and read books.
Carrot, your vocabulary skills is insane talent!!!
(Thanks brooke)
Are? Is? Idk
Are. I’m not sure that’s really talent… like I said I read a lot of books. Supposedly my Pre-K nieces have the vocabulary of a 14-16 year old…
Kirsten: I’m going for a biology degree and a minor in business because I want to be a veterinarian. And it really depends on how you define success. You have a steady job, doing your best, and you’re having fun with every moment you live. I don’t have a job, and I’m not spontaneous. You can’t call someone a failure unless they aren’t trying.
Brooke AC: I’m involved in so many things 0.0 I didn’t list them all. It’s kinda tiring having so many different things you love and enjoy doing, but nothing you’re PASSIONATE about. I am a senior π but my age….may not be what you think. After all, I’m homeschooled. I can tell you I skipped at least one grade. (but maybe I got held back one?) MWAHAHA!!! YOU WILL NEVER KNOW! *insert evil smile here*
I’m 5’5″…and a little on the skinny side. My brother’s convinced I’m short. I’m convinced I’m average height. You may judge for yourselves.
Supposedly you’re average.
Kristen* but I don’t hate you for misspelling my name, as I haven’t used it as my screen name here in a while.
My steady job ends soon unless I get hired for preseason, which I think I will. I try to think positively, so I know I will get the job π
But I get as many tax classes as I want for $20 a year…which sounds epic to me!!
All I talk about is this podcast and taxes, that’s my life at the moment
Hey Chris, could you vote in the FACEoff? We’re tied…
Dawn, yeah, there’s a ton of things I’m involved in, and I have a ton of passion to pour it into other things, but not much time.
The ambiguity of homeschoolers grade levels and their ages is honestly really fascinating to me as a private schooler.
And how much longer will the polls be open, Carrot? Is it just the next vote at this point?
Yeah… I’m in one grade in several things, but a year ahead in science and two in math. Polls will be open as long as I feel like leaving them open.
Carrot, what do you mean SUPPOSEDLY I’m average?
Oh Kristen I’m so sorry XD trust me I know what’s it’s like to have your name misspelled. I hate typos.
I don’t mind what you call me. Just don’t call me krissy or kristi. I will get angry. Other than that, I respond to everything and anything
