(I only say to post it, because it’s easier for me to remember names, when I have a face to put with it) (but I understand)
It’s for mac (or so it looks like) I am on windows. It looks like it’s for clearing out unwanted files though. That’s something I ought to look into.
Franklin, do we get an age range for you?
What you and smithy are talking about, is going far over my head. I know smithy is older than me, so I can justify it….in a twisted way. (When in reality this just isn’t my kind of stuff)
YES!! Blender is absolutely fantastic! I have version 2.76, I haven’t gotten the latest version yet but it really good!
The furthest I’ve gotten in Blender is building a gingerbread man, but I find it fascinating as a piece of technology. What would you say is the coolest thing you’ve ever done with Blender?
Oh wow, I’ll have think for a minute on that.
I believe it may be rocket craft propelling itself through space. This would mainly be due to my lacking internet access at the time, and I had to figure out how do flames without a tutorial. I did have the manual downloaded so that helped.
How long have you been using Blender?
I started up and dropped it a year or two ago. I’d really love to get a job someday working in computer science/ visual arts.
Have you done anything with any other 3D software?
Not really, unfortunately. I’m not much of a sculpture and the tools for building meshes aren’t the most intuitive. I have a student copy of Maya I need to take a look at.
Here’s the video. You can’t see my face too clearly, and my hair is completely different. I did have to take a moment to ensure that my actual name wasn’t posted on there though.
The sync’s off in places, I was putting the finishing touches on minutes before I had to leave for class. But I’m still pretty proud of how it turned out. All 2D files used, no meshes involved, because as previously stated I have no idea how to properly build a mesh.
I should also point out that I meant to say sculptor earlier not sculpture.
*waiting awkwardly after showing other people your work*
And then wondering if maybe everyone is already in bed.
That’s a cool video!!
(…I should be asleep…I gotta get up at 6am tomorrow…it’s 1130pm)
(Seeing you on the internet, made me suddenly aware that i allowed the aux cable show social medias to post a picture of me……) (now im…judging my own picture)
The video was really cool though! And your piano-ing is pretty great as well!!
I don’t know anything about….any of that. But I can tell a lot of hard work went into it…and paid off
I like piano-ing.
Goodnight Kristen.
Franklin, I just remembered that I also managed to model a wine glass once, and I was very proud.
Modeling something that doesn’t involve extruding a geometric shape, not so great at. Do you have any tips like tutorials and things?
I hereby conclude that everyone else is asleep. Goodnight y’all.
Yes, I went to bed. That video was pretty neat; you really implemented your effects well. As for tutorials for Blender, I would immediately suggest Blender Guru and CG Geek.
How’s it going, Franklin? You may call me Carrot.
That video was cool!
Also, Carrot, do you come from a family of carrots, or are you the only carrot? If we ever meet at AuxCon, do we refer to everyone in your family as Carrot? Do we start actually calling you Josiah?
Salutations Carrot. It goes well, and I would like to return the question.
I haven’t met the new folks… Hallo, I’m Mason, I’m a nerd and I do stupid things. And that’s me.
Carrot, at auxcon…I will still call you carrot. I will still call brooke…brooke probably. I will call potato, potato. Etc.
I’ll call Kristen crazy.
Greetings to you Mason.
I am crazy! So I’m OK with that!!
