On my phone I have an SD card, because my 16gb phone, cannot handle the operating system and all my photos and everything else.
My 64gb SD card has decided to become corrupt for like no reason and I lost all of my Disney photos!
What causes SD cards to go corrupt? I don’t do anything but save pictures and music that I buy from amazon prime music.
Is there a way to get these pictures back??
Hmm… not sure… have you ever backed it up?
No, I just got the SD card in November right before our Disney trip, I wasn’t planning on backing it up until later this year
Thank you. I’ll have to wait for my mom to get home from work and for a time when we aren’t busy today.
Okeydoke. I sent the link to my brothers…
Thank you, Carrot!!
I don’t understand any of this…like…how did it get corrupt in the first place?!?!
Who knows. I don’t really have much experience with SD cards.
I don’t have experience with any of this
Hmm… how about autotune?
I have no experience with that either. ?
GAH! IT’S THE EMOJI!
Hahahaha!!! ?
I am blaming ryan. The only pictures that I have left on my phone are MEMES OF HIS FACE AND PICTURES OF HIS FACE THAT ARE GOING TO BE MEMES
Copied from emails from my brother:
Yeah, try putting it in a computer first, then chkdsk (if Windows) or Disk Utility -> Verify Disk/Repair Disk (if Mac) but if that doesn’t work it’s gone, have to reformat. And back up/offload new photos right away, never trust anything your phone or computer to last as long as you think. 🙂
Looking at the link you posted again, it’s worth trying the drive letter thing and the recovery software linked by SanDisk as well.
The simple answer for drive corruption is “sometimes electronics mess up”. Electronic devices are a complex systems and anything complex has ways it will fail that are unpredictable and not easy to determine the cause… could be a defective card, bad connections, software glitch in the phone, etc.
Also, vocoder > autotune.
Thank you. Carrot’s brother!!!
I understand about…half of that, but can figure it out (as I have had to tell my mom command prompts to put in and such).
Hope that stuff works…
Me too, I will let you know when we try it
Mmhmm.
TINGLE TINGLE KOOLOO LIMPAH!
So…my mom and I plugged it into her computer. We tried chkdsk, it didn’t help. She gave me a 16gb micro SD card for now. She tried to format the 64gb one, but it said it was unable to format it. We will have to look at it later. I will probably end up buying a new one, and downloaded an app that’ll, from now on, save my photos to the cloud.
Hmm…
Now to discover what’s wrong with our external hard drive…it’s probably the SATA bridge connector thingy
Hmm…
I AM ALL ALOOOOOOOONE FEELING KIND OF BLUUUUUUUUE LALALALALAAAAAA OOPYDOOPYDOOOOOOOOO
*pokes head back in to the forum* Is carrot back to being sane?*sees last post* obviously not.
Yeah……I’m worried about his mental health
Do carrots have brains and thus mental issues?… Food for thought… Literally, heh heh…
