Candy is amazing. Much though I love American candy it’s pretty subpar compared to the Willy Wonka that is British candy. Ever tried a jelly baby. I was told they were like gummy bears. I was lied to.
Ever eaten a Kinder surprise egg that your mom accidentally smuggled across the Atlantic, Manalive?
I will neither confirm nor deny such behavior. But I will mostly not deny it.
Technically, there’s no video evidence of you actually eating it. At least not publicly.
I leave now to watch Phineas.
YES! HAVE FUN!
I usually just keep the toys inside the eggs. Wintergreen.
If you bite into a wintergreen in the dark, it sparks blue.
A wintergreen mint that is. If you bite into the plant in the dark, I doubt anything interesting happens.
Ah yes.
Never gonna give you up

Tube things:
1. So T.O.P.H.A.T. originally stood for “Take Over the Podcast Hugely Awesome Team” and was originally formed to wrench control of the podcast from Ryan and Matthew? I’m glad we didn’t take that mentality when making the #AuxCableFan episode. Then again, Kristen wasn’t the head of that project. It was quite fascinating to read this thread and watch T.O.P.H.A.T.’s origins unfold. (It was akin to watching a prequel, where you know the end product but you don’t know how the story will get to that end product.) Fun fact: The Overly Punny Honor Association of Trolls is over one year old already.
2. Did Josiah ever explain what he was referring to in post #1982 on page 8 of this thread?
I honestly have no clue what I was eating. Probably a carrot.
Haha I didn’t even remember that, Jeff. And how has it been over a year already? That’s crazy.
#15774 I’ve tried that before. It looks cool, but you have to chomp down pretty hard to make it work.
So is their going to be another fantasy?

Hopefully someday we’ll put one together. Perhaps a good time would be Aux Cable Appreciation Day.
Which is? I don’t remember having a date for that, but that sounds like a good idea.
I think it was April 1st, wasn’t it?
April 1st is Easter… We could say we had an episode, but when we opened up the folder with with audio file, the folder was empty!
I did not realize Easter was April 1st this year…
I mean, we did do a Christmas Episode, so we probably could do an Easter Episode. It took us a month to make the Christmas one and it’s about a month until Easter, so…
One idea would be to utilize our upcoming mini-AuxCon this weekend as an opportunity to record an episode, or at least discuss recording it.
Hmm, perhaps…
April 1 would be perfect because if we didn’t get the episode done, we could do something like what Masøn said and release it later. Any ideas for topics/questions/segments?
One idea would be to answer some of the questions that were composed for Episode 040 but weren’t answered in that episode (I know Bekah complained about not having any of her submissions answered on the episode and several other F.A.C.E.s submitted many more questions than were answered). Another idea would be to come up with questions based upon older episodes of the Aux Cable (follow-up or related questions) that inspire listeners to go back and listen to those episodes. A third idea would be to go back through the list of Kristen’s questions that she submitted for the #AuxCableFan episode and answer some of those. A fourth idea would be to reach out to Ryan, Matthew, Angie, and Sarah to see if they had any questions for us.
What other things we include depends upon whether we want to try to record the episode live or if we go with the segmented approach that we did for Episode 037 (Or a combination thereof).
I like the idea of trying it live, but at the same time having everyone at once might get a little too confusing on the audio end. Maybe we could break it up into a couple different Skype calls or something.
All of those ideas are good and it’s hard to choose a favorite. Unfortunately, they probably won’t all fit in one episode. I think since we already used Kristen’s Questions in the last fancast, we should save those for if we run out of other questions. And I feel like asking the team questions might take a whole episode, so unless everyone’s down for that, we might want to save it for the next one.
Do I need to recording equipment if I wanted to help out with it
Nope, Joshua, there are plenty of simple & hassle-free ways of getting your voice a potential fancast, and there are other, non-audio ways of helping out too. Having heard your voice on Anchor already, I think your voice would make its way onto the show without any additional r-e-c-o-r-d-i-n-g equipment. If you heard Episode 037, you’ll know that none of us really had “special” equipment; we just found a way to utilize what we had access to.
