I can definitely know a homeschooler just by talking to them.

Playing catch-up on responding to parts of this thread:

    1. The only time I’ve seen the Lion King was on a coach bus ride during my senior (in high school) class trip to St. Louis. When I said, “Most F.A.C.E.s would have sung along to the movie as well if in that exact same situation”, “the movie” referred to Rebekah’s remark of “one of my favorite movies” not to her remark of “the lion king”. I was not attempting to insinuate that F.A.C.E.s need to be well-versed on that particular animated Disney film. Instead, I was trying to point out that the acts of watching a favorite movie and singing along to it without regard to peer pressure or social stigma (even if in the presence of children) is something that a F.A.C.E. would do.

    2. There were no terrible segments in the #AuxCableFan episode. Yes, it is weird to listen to your own voice on recording, and it’s really weird to hear something aloud compared to how you planned it to sound in your head. Nevertheless, “weird-sounding” to the creator does not necessarily equal “terrible-sounding” to the listener. Please don’t let discomfort in hearing your own segment(s) discourage you from appreciating this piece of art or from creating more in the future.

    3. “Aux Cable: The Musical Episode” is something that would be thoroughly enjoyed by most Aux Cable Fans! However, the “Inevitable Countdown to Ryan Saying all the All-Star Lyrics” might require its own special episode, unless sufficient editing and autotune can be applied to make it sound like he’s singing the song. I’m not sure about this though; it all depends on how we define “musical”.

Well, awesome! Looks like a practically unanimous vote for uploading it.

I’d like to post it as an episode today!

One thing though: I’d love to include a list of everyone who worked on this episode, from voice, to music, to production. Does anyone have that information available?

I’m not sure exactly what you have in mind Ryan, but you could also say something along the lines of “and all the other FACEs that helped brainstorm and supported this project during production.”

I HAVE BEEN ALERTED OF AN ONOMATOPOEIA; CALL IN THE HOWDAREYOU …oh, wait, that’s me. 😀

The word “Boom” as Ryan used it is derived from the way a deep, instantaneous, and powerful noise sounds to the English ear (hence the classification of an onomatopoeia). However, in this context, the word also contains the derivative connotation of releasing a much anticipated work of art or content, the likes of which are expected to impress and impact to the extent that the beholder will react in a similar fashion to hearing (and feeling) an actual “boom”, such as from an unexpectedly close thunderclap.

It fascinates me how one syllable can contain so much information and nuance!

    *looks around*

Should I be helping to remedy the after-effects of the explosion rather than stalling for the rescue teams to arrive?

It doesn’t appear anyone was injured (I suppose we’ll find out when outside feedback begins to come in about the episode), so it seems that stalling until the professionals arrive is the smartest thing we can do. Allowing new information to replace that feeling of shock after a large explosion would seem to be a reasonable way of coping with something of such magnitude.

Hmm…I see that Awkward Potato’s role in TOPHAT is “Official Hug Dealer”…that might be the office to best help cope with shock. Then again, Explosive Yeast might be the most appropriate F.A.C.E. to call in a time like this.

According to the TOPHAT thread, page 3, “Christian crack” is code for the candy “jolly ranchers”.
