Breaking: how Kristen grew to love tøp part 2: if it wasn’t for my sister loving them and blaring them often, and a video where Ryan mentioned migraine (when he mentioned it, I was currently going through blurryface, so I hadn’t discovered vessel yet, but it quickly became my favorite tøp song for the time being), I wouldn’t like tøp.
There are a ton of people that can say, “tøp saved my life”, I’m not one of those, but…tøp…they helped me open my eyes. Get out of my comfort zone. I also learned that someone who screams a lot about how quiet is violent, can sing, “I can’t help falling in love with you” while playing ukulele, and give me goosebumps.
Whether it’s the screaming in goner, their cover of cancer (I can’t get through the whole song, I have to stop it, so I’ve never heard it all the way through), or tyjo’s cover of Elvis, I get goosebumps. They are raw. They are real. They are amazing.
