Hey guys I am so lost on what I should do for YouTube! I thinking music videos, any good songs? Or requests? I would like to get views and stuff too. Also I am open to the idea of doing advice videos if I have any questions..
What type of music do you like? If you were doing an advice show, what type of questions would you want (or maybe not want)?
Yeah, what type of music do you listen to? Are you open to do secular music covers?
I’m not opposed to any questions that come to mind right now. And I like Disney music or Christian music. I would do covers. Also maybe some originals I’ve been working on. I play piano, ukulele and guitar and I’m hoping to pick up the violin this fall/ winter
And as long as there is no bad language or inappropriate situations then yes. But NO hard rock lol
Yes as in contemporary music sorry I’m confusing
You’re good.
That sounds like good ideas to me.
Hmm…
What? You mean you DON’T like screaming into a microphone?
That’s the best way to make sure you’re heard!!
That’s true. It makes it easier to be understood also.
It also helps eliminate bats from your viewership.
Have you ever thought of doing something like this? Theoretically Jack wants to do more of these, but with all of the other series that he does he’ll get maybe two more out at the most before he gives up. The premise is really interesting though: take a song you hate and make it good by changing the lyrics, the rhythm, the melody, or whatever. There are literally millions of song covers on YouTube, but this is the first time that I’ve seen this idea pulled off.
When I saw that Kumquat had commented, I immediately knew it would be good.
I don’t understand how Jack made a version so superior to the original.
I know right? It’s crazy what adding real instruments can do for a song. It has such a pure early 2000s alt-rock feel to it now.
There’s also an idea that I think could be both really interesting and potentially hilarious in a few instances: do a series where you turn secular songs into Christian songs. Obviously you have artists like Mumford And Sons who use a lot of biblical imagery even though they aren’t Christians and you’ve got personal songs about relationships that could parlay into spiritual themes with some tweaking (“Skinny Love” by Bon Iver comes to mind on that one), but imagine posting a video where the premise is “I’ve been challenged to turn All Star by Smash Mouth into a worship song.”
Yeah, that would be really interesting. But the All-Star worship song needs to happen.
Now thoughts of altering Hymn for the Weekend are entering my mind.
I, oh I, oh I, I lift your name on high, on high, on high.
Look what I found:
Oh look, you did. I missed that. Whoops.
I’ve played the song three times already in the background of my Aux Cable comment reading. I think it sounds very good!
Yep, it does sound rather decent.
Haha thanks guys I was super super nervous about putting a video of myself on lol! Never done it before! I really like the idea of changing contemporary music to be more Christian I might try that. I am fairly good at writing lyrics just not got with the beat. Parodys are so fun to do maybe I could try taking a song and write in a Christian part.
Haha I am super super happy you guys found it I have to admit I blushed a bit seeing you guys found it and listened to it! I am glad someone likes it!
?
Alternatively, you could try doing something like this.
Oh my gosh ok I’m awake now. ??♀️. Haha I thought I already was I guess not. Geez that was a shock. It was the nice soothing tune to a good song af instead of owl cities smooth voice it was torture lol. That hurt my ears
That was beautiful.
It was pure horror
You’d think I’d like horror and scary I was born on Friday the 13th and again this year
