It’s probably easier in programming somehow to not restrict a poster from liking his own post. I say that because YouTube isn’t the only website that allows it. Some people see it as unethical, but the nice thing is that liking your own post can counter one dissenting view, so your comment isn’t buried right away by a lone troll. However, a quick google search suggested to me that liking your own comment doesn’t always count toward the number that the public can see, so I’m not sure about how effective the technique really is.
Perhaps it’s a programming question that Matthew Bird would be able to answer since he’s a web developer.
*Wonders if it’s time*
It’s time? It’s time? Did you just say it’s time?
*Wonders if I’m making the right decision*
Did he just say it’s time?
*wonders what Masøn is talking about*
*Wonder why we’re typing like this.*
*Wonders if I’ll lose any and all respect*
*wonders if Mason is going to ask if we know the muffin man or if he’s actually going to do something*
*Becomes even more confused than before, but also very interested.*
*Wonders if I’m making way too big a deal out of this than I should*
*Waits intently.*
Before I begin, I’d like to apologize to Jeff. I’ve been living a lie.
*Sits in shock.*
The goal of my content is ALWAYS to entertain…
MASON WHAT IS GOING ON? IVE BEEN READING ALONG AND NOT KNOWING WHAT TO SAY!
Content? That’s meant to entertain? What sorcery is this!?
He’s either going to start a Youtube channel or like his own Youtube comment, and I have no clue which.
This… This is my deepest, darkest secret… I’ve never told anyone…
…
Indeed, the rumors are true…
There are rumors? … Oh. Oh dear.
#thatmomentwhen I accept Masøn’s apology because I always accept Masøn’s apologies, even if there’s no need for him to apologize.

#thatmomentwhen You’re not sure everyone knows what “Acrostic” means…
Many have wondered how I seem to get “Top Comment” a lot… Some may say it’s because I leave good comments… Others say it’s pure luck (no one has ever actually said that, but…)… However… It’s all wrong. It’s true. I like my own comments. The act of liking one’s own comment immediately puts it higher up on the comment priority list for everyone else, thus causing more comment likes to flood in, eventually making it to the top. I’ve performed tests, where I like some comments, and don’t like some comments, and an overwhelming majority of the liked comments make it to the top. Indeed, my comment creating career has been built on dishonor. It is generally frowned upon to like one’s own comment, I don’t know why… But alas. My secret is out.

I feel…
Joe Repp likes his own tweets, so there’s that.
My brother made a youtube account for the sole purpose of posting lame, cliché, like-bait comments on big videos (not saying that’s what you do at all, Masøn), and then he and I would both like it. He’s gotten thousands of likes on some .
That is wonderful.
#thatmomentwhen you go outside to see if the mail has come, realize that the mail truck is right down the road, sprint back down the driveway and hide behind a car, and then have to awkwardly pop up from behind the car and greet the mailman because you got a package.
