Yes Jeff, and no Kristen, not if you start watching some RIGHT NOW.
BUT I HAVE A DATE RIGHT NOW
THEN WHY ARE YOU ON HERE? GET READY!
I never really watched it either, but it was cause it was just before my time… I think…
I watched some when we actually got public television. Stupid digitalization.
I don’t have to get ready for dates. I go out in borderline pjs. (Today I actually wore jeans though)
I don’t dress up for anyone…especially not Ken.
#thatmomentwhen your brother suggests watching a horror movie that was directed by your favorite director
A year ago horror movies terrified him and he considered jurassic park to be a scary movie. Now we are watching Insidious 3 and just chilling
Insidious 1- really lame and cheesy. My brother makes fun of it
Insidious 2- slightly less cheesy. Answers questions from the first one. My brother makes fun of it
Insidious 3- stepped up their game. My brother (he’s 12) is not wanting me to get up and get water.
Insidious 4- comes out in a month. Should be amazing. I will force my brother to go see it.
Kristen is done rambling about horror movies
#thatmomentwhen you’ve still never seen a horror movie
The Cat and The Canary is the must see horror film.
#SameAP I have such a strong and powerful imagination that I can’t stand horror films. This also means I have a really low threshold when it comes to “too scary for me to want to watch” for non-horror films. When I watched the Princess Bride for the first time in 8th grade with all my classmates in school (it was on the last day before Christmas break), there were parts of that which would have scared me too much if it weren’t for all of my friends laughing at the screen and saying “that’s so fake”. My tolerance level for scary moments in films has increased, but it is still much lower than most people my age. As for Franklin’s suggestion, I might be able to get through it knowing the plot (which I just looked up) and viewing it with someone like Franklin whom I trust, who has seen the film before, and who is completely comfortable with the film. Otherwise I’d rather watch something much more lighthearted.
I crack jokes and nitpick horror films while I watch them, so most people that don’t like horror films feel comfortable.
I have an insanely strong imagination, but I’ve been watching horror movies since I was 4 years old (there’s a story behind that. My mom isn’t a terrible parent).
I also love SFX makeup and so I judge blood splatter and whatnot. I also research ones “based on a true story” so I can judge those too.
I know I say this a lot, but… I guess it depends on what you find scary about certain situations, but Stranger Things. I’m a wimp when it comes to fear and stuff, but mostly jump scares. I love suspense though. Season one is very… Not scary. The first scene is a (predictable) jumpscare, but after that there aren’t really any more. Season two is a bit more horror orientated, but still isn’t like ‘It’ or ‘The Shining’ level scary… though, it does take inspiration from some of those things, and flat out steals scenes from E.T. occasionally. It definitely feels more Sci-Fi Thriller than it does horror movie.
I’ve had 0 problems with my mind after watching the show, and this is coming from someone who gets mentally terrified watching Five Night’s and Freddy’s, which is… Not… Scary… Kind of…
But idk, it all depends on personal tolerance and what not. It was certainly my first horror experience, and it kind of makes me want to slowly explore the genre… And I’m scared of everything…
I was terrified when I watched A Muppets Christmas Carol, but know the “scary” episodes of Doctor Who don’t phase me at all.
Doctor who doesn’t phase me.
I don’t like sci-if thriller/horror.
And mason, please tell me you haven’t seen the shining…
*now?
*shrugs* Everybody’s different.
Yup, thanks.
I have not seen The Shining. Literally the only horror entertainment I’ve explored are horror games and Stranger Things.
Good….don’t watch the Shining.
#thatmomentwhen you find a random dead ladybug on your floor and realize you may have a bit of a messy room…
At least you didn’t find live fleas. #ChrisHowardVidCon #CountYourBlessings #ButStillCleanYourRoom
We actually had that happen once when we were gone for a while. I found that video highly relatable.
Got my SGK “IT’S CHRIIISSSTTTIIAAAANNNNN” shirt…it’s insanely soft. I’m gonna wear it to church tomorrow
XD… I watched my mom order mine so I know I’m getting mine for Christmas…
It’s so soft!!! Like…insanely soft.
And I posted a picture of me wearing it in the SGK patrons fb group, and Kevin “loved” my post.
Nice!!
#thatmomentwhen you finally buy an aux cable
Well, I have one more exam left and then I’m done with this semester.
Nice!
That’s great to hear, Franklin!
#thatmomentwhen Franklin is all done with his semester
