Nobody pay any attention to this article if you ever come across it. It’s utter garbage.

Ugh, I definitely want to ignore it if it’s one of those websites that makes you click through 50 slides.
Only 13.
Getting to number one is worth it though, just because it’s so silly of a choice.
I’ll look at it tomorrow! 🙂
Okeydoke.
*Gets to number 1*
*Throws up*
What, because it wasn’t Nixon or Clinton? I’m not going to address the quality of Carter’s administration at this time… I’ll check back in on that subject in a couple of weeks.
TINGLE FOR PRESIDENT 2020!
TINGLE TINGLE KOOLOO LIMPAH!
Ooh! I forgot about this thread! This was a good one!
Anybody else like talking about presidents, politics, and or U.S. history? No? Okay, well never mind then…
We can talk about how biased the History of US is XD
It did a great job until it got to Clinton, where it was like “oh, we may never know what really happened, there’s sure to be a diary somewhere that clears his name”
And I’m like “BALONEY!”
Huh?
What, about the… stupid thing he did with an intern, or about his lying under oath? Or both, I guess.
I don’t think anybody actually believes that the affair didn’t happen… he admitted it on live TV.
But we don’t believe what’s on tv, because it’s what we want to see. And what we want, we know we can’t believe. We have all learned to kill our dreams.
^ is so fun to play acoustically on Uke…
Darn. I should have seen that coming.
I feel like we definitely teach history with a bias toward Western culture, especially in the fact that we spend multiple years focusing on the history of a country that’s only been around two hundred years. I was at the British Museum with a Bulgarian gentleman once, because my life is a lot cooler than I like to admit, and it was interesting to compare notes on what we knew about, because he was knowledgeable about some eras that were complete blanks for me.
So does anyone have a favorite Chinese Dynasty?
Because I don’t think I could name any of them off the top of my head.
I’ve been studying English history for the last 3 months, but I hardly know any Chinese history…
It was weird when my sister was all like, “Look it’s the mask that’s always on the front cover of Beowulf” and the her Bulgarian friend was all like “What’s Beowulf?”
Lol! Yeah, that mask was found at a famous excavation site along with a bunch of other Anglo-Saxon stuff…
All the Chinese history I know comes from books about stuff that happened in recent Chinese history. I’m really lost when it comes to anything before 1940, but I think learning about the dynasties would be really interesting. Admittedly, I’m not sure schools in China are big on Chinese history either. Communism isn’t big on remembering the past, and I know at least one or two instances where students were intentionally given historical misinformation to further government agendas.
And the British Museum has all of it! It was so cool!
Like the entire boat was there in a glass case.
How big was the boat? That sounds awesome!
Boat sized? Not like pirate ship, but definitely larger than a canoe. Viking sized I guess.
Ah yeah, that makes sense lol
