This is one thread I hope doesn’t get out of hand.
Anyway, a car hit a pole near Kristen’s house and they’ve completely lost power and have no idea when it will be back on. She asked me to tell y’all and ask for prayers for it to come back soon. It’s not weather related, so they can still travel, but there’s the issues of food spoiling and not being able to charge devices and such.
Thank you, Brooke.
We got power around 4am, so let’s hope that whatever they did was a permanent solution and not temporary, and also that whatever they did was correct.
When we get up in a few hours (kitties woke me up, I’ll be heading back to bed soon), we will check the fridge. Most of the food will probably need thrown out, which stinks because we just went grocery shopping. Freezer food should be ok, but we will check it too.
Fridge food is gone. About 70-80% had to be thrown away. Freezer food is fine.
So…even though you lost most of your fridge food, at least you got some ice-cream XD
We didn’t have ice cream. We have fries for poutine.
Why would this thread get out of hand? That’s ridiculous…
…yall, stuff happened. I gotta find a second job or figure something out.
Oh dear.
I ain’t the only immediate family member that’s been affected. Mine is the most minor of it all.
I may start college and focus on that.
It’ll work out for the best
I hope so.
I just sent you a message, Kristen.
I didn’t just send you a message, Kristen.
I just sent Josiah a message, Kristen.
But seriously we’re praying for you.
I just sent brooke a message, yall.
Thanks everyone, it’s really appreciated. (The fact that I even asked is a big deal, as I rarely ask for help or anything)
I wish you luck in figuring this out… Also, be careful if you apply for Baskin Robbins… Baskin Robbins always finds out…
Of course.
I won’t work fast food. I’ll probably do online college
Hmm…
Mason M was that a ref to AntMan??
Knowing Mason, I suspect it is.
As I finish preparations to graduate high school, please for pray for me. I’m being blessed with the incredible opportunity to address my classmates and our loved ones as valedictorian before we part. Pray that, as I deliver my speech, I will do so with the absolute sincerity and love I had in my heart as I wrote it. Pray that my nerves won’t hinder my speaking and that, through my words, the Holy Spirit will speak through me and touch the lives of these wonderful creations of our Lord that I hold so dear.
I don’t know how things will go after graduation. I don’t know if I’ll be able to catch all of my classmates afterwards to speak with each of them individually. Even if I do, I know I won’t have enough time to say everything I want to say to them. There’s not enough time in eternity.
Of course, brooke!
I believe in you!!
Yup.
YOU GOT THIS BROOKE!!!
Yeah!
Thanks, y’all! Only a matter of hours now!
Don’t think my heart rate is going to slow down all day.
God will be with you, Brooke! You got this!
Fair winds and following seas!
You got this, mon cher ami.
