(Yes, very much so…)
(Oh… We’re up to 16 now!)
(16, 000 words that is.)
(Wow, we really are…)
(Dang)
(wHOA)
(I wonder how much the story makes sense to people outside the forum…)
(None.)
(Probably none.)
(Probably none.)
(Also, what genre is this?… Cause, like, there really is no definitive category this fits into… We’ve gone from Fantasy to Sci-Fi to Romance…)
(Eh, probably sci-fi overall. There hasn’t really been magic per say.)
Douglas walked down a corridor with steel walls that were supported by evenly placed red beams. His security clearance hadnât yet been revoked, but no one actually realized he existed, so that helped. He needed to find a way to get Peter out without too much trouble. He couldnât take him out the way he did because you needed clearance. He couldnât give Peter clearance, but maybe he could shut down the system long enough for them to escape without being noticed. That would have to do for now; he was running out of time before they went on with the plan. He didnât actually know what the plan was, but he had formulated so many conspiracies that one of them had to be the right one.
Wait, he remembered now. After the division, they started getting controlled by her. They thought that the division would help them, but it only made them susceptible. He didnât notice at first, but when he did he found a way so that it wouldnât happen to him again. Everyone else were all so busy with the technology that they had been given, they never noticed, or maybe they did, but it was too late. Thatâs why he didnât tell everyone else. He was afraid he would just wind up under her control again.
He came to his hiding place. It was a storage room full of H.E.B. products that werenât supposed to expire for a while, and since there were several other supply rooms, he was safe here. Maybe. He went past 3 shelves and then went to the back of the room, and opened up an unrealistically large box of cereal. He pulled out a bag of â cereal? That was the wrong box. He opened another box and this time pulled out a compact computer. He turned it on and started looking for the programs that he wrote in case he was found out. He found them. He put the one that was the closest to working and put it on a stick. This would have to do.
He went back out cautiously, and looked around and went out and headed to the control room. There were two others in there, that was the least there would ever be. From here all surveillance took place along with security clearance through doors both secret and not secret. He walked to one of the console and inserted his memory stick. The others didnât notice him. He started up the program, and wiped his brow. Sirens hadnât erupted around him yet, so he just might get away with this. The program would self-terminate eventually, hopefully before he was found out. It was time to get Peter.
(Hmmm I’m not sure what to say! But this is amazing!! I am so happy y’all added thanks!)
(So your real name is Douglas?)
(Hrm.)
Who? Me?
(I take that as a yes)
(I forgot to use parenthesis!)
(For the record “parenthesis” is singular and “parentheses” is plural, but it’s okay, since we overlook mistakes on this thread.)
(I’ve always wondered that… Thank you kindly for the clarification…)
(Oh, that’s interesting.)
Dawn blinked in the bright light. She was in a wood. A beautiful, old wood. Dawn ran her hand down a tree. So old, so wonderful. Silence reigned. And then a shout shattered it.
âHullo! Anyone there?â A familiar voice called.
Dawn peeked out from behind the tree and saw the back of a person. âManalive? Is that you?â
Manalive spun around, then relaxed as he saw Dawn. âOh, hey Dawn,â he said, âDo you have any idea where that weirdo sent us?â
Dawn scanned the area again, her hand resting on the tree. âI donât believe so?â she queried, âFor some reason, this feels familiar.â Dawn glowed a satisfied yellow, and ran her hand down the tree. âLike Iâve been here before.â
A wood thrush began to sing a song of pure silver. âYeah, I get the same feeling too.â Manalive agreed, his eyebrows scrunched together. âItâs disconcerting.â
Dawn strode over to some nearby bushes, and lifted her hand to touch them. âLook at these. They almost look like anâŚentrance.â
âWell, an entrance is meant to be walked through, isnât it?â Manalive delivered matter-of-factly, âLetâs go in.â Manalive pushed the bushes back, strode through, and vanished.
Dawn flared a bright purple, shocked and frightened. Then she berated herself at her novice-like shock. With a deep, steadying breath, Dawn calmed herself. Then she faced the bushes and walked through.
(Man this would be the perfect place to end it and let someone else take over the story, but Iâm feeling a little bratty, so Iâm going to write the next part too.)(also clarification Chris isn’t actually that bad but from their perspective some random dude showed up and beamed them somewhere else.)
Dawn screamed like the unabashed fangirl she was at what greeted her eyes. âTHE WOOD, WEâRE IN THE WOOD BETWEEN!!! AAHHHH THIS IS THE HAVEN I KNOW IT IS. MANALIVE ITâS THE WOOD!!!!!!!â
âWhoa, care to dial down the sun there, Dawn?â Manalive squinted at the dot in the center of the brilliant orange glow.
Dawn turned bright red. âOops sorry, BUT ITâS GOLDSTONE WOOD!!â
Manalive sighed. âIt may be Goldstone Wood, but that doesnât mean that everything is perfect here. Remember, the Faerie donât especially care for mortals, and we donât count as immortals to them.â
âNot anymore at least.â Dawn turned a deep blue.
âHello? Whoâs there?â
Dawn shot a glance over to Manalive. They both carried the same puzzled expression. That voice did not sound like any from the Tales, and that accent was quite distinctive.
âExcuse me, but if youâre there you should speak up.â
Dawn stepped out and gasped. A bespectacled man with blonde hair stood there, one who bore an uncanny resemblance toâŚ
âChris?!?â
âYes, I believe thatâs my name.â
âWhereâs Dame Imraldera? Whereâs Ryan? LUMEâS LIGHT WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?â Dawn glanced over at Manalive and grinned like a child. âIâve always want to say that.â
(This is entertaining. Does this mean I can send myself to Aerwiar?)
(You already sent everyone to Hyrule)
(Wait, I thought somebody else did that? Maybe not.)
(Nope)
(Hurray! A new part of the story!)
