What’s the difference between a therapy cat and a cat?

Therapy cat is registered, so I cannot be denied by anybody I rent a house or apartment from and I can take it anywhere. It’s $25 to register it, but he will need to be leash trained and trained to go potty on command. Which shouldn’t be too hard.
It’s more so that way I can take him places if we will be gone all day, because hairless cats get lonely quickly
