Okay, so I have finished implementing several changes to the website on which I’ve been working for a while now. This includes changes to prevent spam! And so far, we haven’t gotten any spam submitted to the forum at all. YAY!! 😀

I’ve also made changes to the account and email systems. So if you’ve had issues with setting up an account or resetting your password in the past, it should be all better now. The emails will now be properly identified as being sent from “The Aux Cable” instead of “WordPress”.

Perhaps we could study the geometry of this new invention. We will call the length across it the Slice and the distance around the edge the Pumpkin. I’ll study different sizes and see what I find.

The ratio of Pumpkin to Slice is the same for every size of non-pointy square! It’s a little bit above three, but I’m still working on the exact calculation. It just seems to keep going.

Several thousand digits in, no sign of stopping. This is getting completely irrational!

I’ve settled on a close approximation. 3.14159265359…etc. It’s got enough sig figs that is should still be a useful measurement. Now we just need a name for this new universal constant. Pumpkin/Slice = ……..

Strudel. We’re calling the new constant Strudel, and that’s that. All in all this feels like a very productive morning.

The area of a non-pointy square is equal to Strudel times a pointy square that has an edge half a Slice long. “The area of a non-pointy square” takes far to long to write out. We’ll refer to it as the total Pieliciousness of the figure.

Now the only question is how is the Pieliciousness is affected if we use more specific values of Strudel, such as Apple, Strawberry, or Kumquat Strudel.
